This incident got me thinking, the word "anger" is separated from "Danger" by just one alphabet, "D". D stands for "Doom", "Danger"," Disaster" and what it led to in the report above "Death".

Anger can be either a primary or a secondary emotion. It's a primary emotion when it's a direct feeling response and humans are trained to react favorably to this primary emotion, just as you experience sadness, joy, you experience anger.

However when anger is a secondary emotion, it means that humans are trained to accept the feeling of anger, but not the feelings that may have preceded it, such as fear, hurt or vulnerability. This is where the illness of intermittent explosive disorders can occur.

In the recent past as well there have been several instance of massacres by teenagers in the elementary schools in the world, which psychologists have attributed to this disorder.

So next time whenever you feel a sensation of anger, whether it's against your peers, subordinates, your wife, girlfriend, anyone, remember it's best controlled and trying to understand the primary emotion behind your anger will prevent you from getting hyper and being labeled by the clinics as afflicted by Intermittent explosive disorder.

<msn:type>blogentry</msn:type><live:type>blogentry</live:type><live:typelabel>Blog entry</live:typelabel>

<dcterms:modified>2005-08-22T15:04:23Z</dcterms:modified>

Home remedies for a common cold

A friend of mine was down with a bad cold, sore throat and slight fever. Flu I told her, "what did you do about it", I asked her. "Oh as usual went to a doctor and am on medication", she replied. "Why can't they just make a vaccination that can put an end to this dreadful cause of misery worldwide", she asked , almost choking on the length of the sentence. "For the simple reason that , there are so many viruses that can cause a cold , that is it almost impossible to localize on one single virus, and be sure you would eradicate flu from the face of the earth", I replied.
Since I was down with the same flu a couple of days back, and I treated myself without any medication, and me being me, I gave my friend a few tips on how to cure (actually feel better, cause only time can cure a cold) the cold at home.

Take Haldi (Turmeric) in hot milk, add 1/2-3/4 spoon of haldi in a glass of milk, and have for 2-3 days. The effects are really amazing. No wonder the Americans wanted to patent the curing abilities of turmeric.
Gargling with warm water, with a lot of salt eases the discomfort of the throat to a great extent.
This one is a new one I developed, boil ginger in water for 5-7 mins and keep covered for another 2-3 mins. Then add Tulasi leaves (Holy Basil), or tulasi powder from Himalaya, along with 1 spoon of honey. The color will change from yellow to black almost like black tea. Sip on it slowly. This has amazing effects.
Munch on the ginger which you had boiled earlier after sometime, boiled ginger easily lets go of it's juices and eases your throat.
Last , must most important, take lots of rest.

Of course you can add more to this list, so do let me know incase you have other tips. These are all good ' ol granny's secrets. Hoping you a speedy recovery from all flu from now on.

<msn:type>blogentry</msn:type><live:type>blogentry</live:type><live:typelabel>Blog entry</live:typelabel>

<dcterms:modified>2005-03-08T16:25:46Z</dcterms:modified>
